Professional Education
Ahmed has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Science & Technology and is a self-taught computer programmer. He is proficient in C/C++, Python, PHP, Javascript, and HTML/CSS.
He is particularly interested in building electro-mechanical systems, including Robotic arms & UAVs.
During his university days, he participated in several robotics and UAV competition at both national and international levels. He had a keen interest in designing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aka 'drones', and represented his Institute twice in Design/Build/Fly competition organized annually by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) in 2012 and 2013.
Passion for Technology
After graduation, he turned his passion for tech towards consumer technologies and focused on building websites and educating others about technology. He founded FlyThatDrone, an educational site focused on consumer drones and their application in everyday life.
Ahmed is also passionate about mobile phones, smart devices, and web technologies. He shares his opinions about how consumer technologies can affect everyday users and how they can be used to their full potential.
He enjoys automating his home using Alexa Echo Dot and other smart devices and streaming on his Roku TV.
In addition to these tech activities, Ahmed enjoys using social media for networking and staying in touch with friends and family. He enjoys flying DJI drones and is an amateur aerial photographer.
He often troubleshoots tech-related problems for friends and family, who often come to him for help with their tech issues.
