How to Connect Jabra Elite 75t [Detailed Pairing Guide]

I particularly like Jabra earbuds because of one thing – they are designed to be user-friendly. Maybe not as friendly as Apple Airpods but better than most other brands.

Since every earbud brand has different key combinations to put them into pairing mode, I had to look up how to connect Jabra Elite 75t as well.

While reading online discussions, I realized that a lot of people have been struggling to pair Jabra Elite 75t not because they didn’t know the correct process but for a lot of other reasons as well.

In this article, I am going to outline the correct way of pairing your Jabra Elite 75t and also troubleshoot if they don’t pair or connect for some reason.

How to pair Jabra Elite 75t?

Almost all earbuds have the same pairing process. You turn ON the earbuds, put them in pairing mode, and connect them to your phone or computer/Mac.

However, they all differ when it comes to putting the earbuds in pairing mode. You have to know the correct button combination.

Jabra Elite 75t not pairing – Solutions

The Jabra Elite 75t pairing process is quite reliable, but at times, you might struggle to get it working.

There can be a lot of reasons for your earbuds to fail pairing. Below are some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Elite 75t paired.

Restart your Elite 75t earbuds

If you don’t get your Elite 75t earbuds paired, don’t worry, as things often don’t work out on the very first try.

The first thing you should do is restart your earbuds and try again. To restart your earbuds, you can put the earbuds back into the charging case, close the lid, and then take them out.

You can also manually turn OFF the Elite 75t earbuds by pressing and holding the button on the back of each bud simultaneously. Repeat the same process to turn them ON again.

Once the earbuds restart, try pairing them again with your phone.

Restart your phone or PC/Mac

Bluetooth problems can originate from both ends. If restarting your earbuds does not fix your Bluetooth connectivity issue, the next step is to restart your device.

Restarting your device clears the cache and reinitializes the Bluetooth device. This helps remove any temporary glitch that might cause the Bluetooth connection to fail.

Disconnect all other Bluetooth devices

Bluetooth interference is real and can’t hamper your connectivity. If your phone is connected to other Bluetooth devices, that might be the issue.

Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and disconnect all other connected devices before trying again.

The Jabra Elite 75t earbuds can connect to 2 devices at the same time. This feature is called Multipoint pairing. However, this can also cause connectivity issues.

If your earbuds are already paired to another device, removing that device can help your pairing process.

There is one more type of interference that might come from other electronic devices that use the same frequency band as Bluetooth (2.4GHz). Try shifting your location to a more secluded area and try pairing.

Fun fact: Your kitchen microwave oven also uses 2.4GHz radio waves that can cause interference.

Bring your phone closer

Bluetooth has a limited range of around 30 feet. If your phone or earbuds are further apart, that can cause weak signals and pairing issues.

Bring your phone closer to the earbuds and try pairing again.

If there are any physical obstacles between the phone and your earbuds, they will also reduce the signal strength considerably. Remove any such obstacles before pairing.

Reset the earbuds

If the above troubleshooting steps haven’t resolved your issue, the next step is to reset your earbuds.

Resetting your earbuds will remove temporary software issues and revert your earbuds to their original factory state.

To reset your Jabra earbuds:

  • Take your earbuds out of the charging case and turn them ON.
  • Now, press & hold the button on both earbuds for 10-15 seconds until the LED light flashes purple.
  • Your earbuds will go through the reset process, and once completed, the LED will blink blue, indicating pairing mode.

Resetting your Jabra earbuds will remove all previously paired devices. Before you pair your earbuds again, FORGET them from your phone.

Resetting can also fix other issues as well like charging problems or if you are not getting sound in one of the earbuds (quite common with Elite 75t model)

Update firmware

A firmware bug can also cause your Jabra earbuds to stop pairing with other Bluetooth devices.

To keep your Jabra earbuds functioning properly, keep your firmware up to date. Firmware updates also come with performance improvements and new features.

To update the firmware on your Jabra earbuds:

  • Install the Jabra Sound+ app on your phone if you haven’t already.
  • Open the app and connect your earbuds.
  • If there’s a firmware update available, you’ll see a notification in the app.
  • Follow the prompts to install the update.
  • Keep your earbuds in their charging case during the update, and do not close the app until the update is complete.

Once your Jabra update is finished, your earbuds will restart and will be ready to pair again.
